Try the Android sample APK
Download the separately packaged Simple World Demo APK. Install it and open Simple World Demo. It has its own Android package ID and uses fictional records on the device.
| Password | Applies to | |
|---|---|---|
demo@simpleworld.local | Demouser | The separately named offline Simple World Demo APK and source built with SIMPLE_WORLD_DEMO=true. |
Enter those values in the sign-in screen and tap Login. Explore Home, Discover, Profile, Videos, Chats and Menu. Sample follows, comments, messages, drafts and profile edits stay on that device. Imported local gallery photos stay in private app storage. For a fresh sample, clear only Simple World Demo’s app storage in Android Settings; this removes its local sample changes and copied gallery images.
This sample does not authenticate against Firebase. Google/Apple sign-in, registration, account recovery, server notifications, payments and live moderation are outside the offline APK. The default source build uses Firebase and requires a real account in your configured project. These sample credentials are not a production account or an administrator password.
Build the same isolated sample from source
Use the supplied helper in a separate disposable copy. It replaces native Firebase configuration with synthetic SDK values, gives the sample its own Android package/name, uses a test signing key and removes Internet permission. Keep your live app on the default SIMPLE_WORLD_DEMO=false setting.
cd Source/mobile-app python tools/prepare-offline-demo.py --output ../simple-world-demo-build-v01 cd ../simple-world-demo-build-v01 flutter pub get flutter build apk --release --dart-define=SIMPLE_WORLD_DEMO=true
Do not copy production Firebase files or signing keys into the sample build. The demo credentials apply only to this sample.
Try the public admin interface
Open the Flutter admin preview. No sign-in is required. The preview is read only: inspect fictional users, posts, reports and charts; administrative writes are disabled.
Test connected sign-in, uploads and server workflows locally
Follow the connected mobile quick test and the admin local sample setup. Start the provided Firebase emulators and seed them before using these credentials:
| Local account | Password | Use |
|---|---|---|
member01@example.test | SampleMember-2026! | Connected mobile member, local emulators. |
viewer@example.test | SampleViewer-2026! | Read-only connected local admin tour. |
owner@example.test | SampleOwner-2026! | Disposable local moderation exercises. |
Local emulator accounts do not exist in the public author's Firebase project. Install the full backend and create your own accounts for production. Keep the offline sample, local emulator credentials and live installation distinct.
